In Boulevard Palace Manager’s Death: Liberian Police Investigating Persons Of Interest

Monrovia, Liberia- The Liberia National Police said, it is investigating some persons of interest in the death of Anwar Futoo. General Manager of Monrovia’s biggest hotels, Boulevard Palace in Sinkor.

During news conference held at the police headquarters, police inspector general Col. Gregory Coleman said, it the death of Boulevard palace general manager is believed to be a suicide.

IG Coleman told the media on Tuesday, 31 December 2021, revealed that the deceased went to a Humanitarian Home on 9th Street, where he allegedly went to the bathroom room and consumed a cleaning substance.

But the name of the humanitarian is not yet known.

According to the Police IG, the screams from the bathroom made the Security to rush in, where he allegedly met Mr. Futoo laying.

Giving minimum information, Police IG Coleman stated that prior to victim going to the Humanitarian Home, he allegedly went to a Supermarket to buy a substance used for cleaning. The police have said, more findings will come out as investigations after the coroner inquest.

In another development, IG Coleman said, the building of the Capitol Building is also believed to be an arson attack following their joint investigation with the Fire service, but they have written the US embassy near Monrovia to assist them some international expertise who will give an independent report on the incident.

4 persons arrest for killing alleged motorbike thieves

Meanwhile, IG Coleman disclosed that four persons have been arrested in the Sunday December 29,2024 mob violence that occurred at the 72nd junction where two alleged motorbike thieves were killed.

According to him, several efforts have been made to curtail the stealing of motorbikes following numerous complaints from motorcyclists.
