BARCLAYVILLE, Grand Kru, Liberia – Back in October 2021, motoxi rider Emmanuel Tolue shocked millions of people when he returned LD$50,000.00 to its rightful owner, but the size of the cashed disvovered and returned by Abraham David in Grand Kru County is staggering.

David, a local motorcyclist returned a staggering sum of over 1 million Liberian Dollars and $5,000 USD in cash to its rightful owner amid the growing economic hardship, something that has earned him massive praise and admiration.

Once an ambulance driver for the Grand Kru County Health Team, David lost his job nearly five years ago due to administrative issues and turned to commercial bike riding to sustain himself and his family. But his honest deed has now opened new doors. Recognizing his character, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has appointed him as one of the Superintendent drivers under the Joseph N. Boakai-led government.

David’s life has taken a remarkable turn—he has not only been reinstated into public service but has also rekindled strong ties with his family and community.
