FISH TOWN, Liberia--In a decisive move to combat narcotic substances across River Gee County, the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has begun a comprehensive training workshop to combat the increasing rate of narcotic and substance abuse.
The training is taking place at its Fish Town City headquarters.
Led by the agency’s Chief Trainer and Head of the Crime Lab, the program aims to enhance the operational capabilities of over 20 LDEA officers. The training focuses on advanced investigative techniques, crime scene analysis, and the latest strategies in combating drug-related offenses.
LDEA’s Special Agent, Richard N. Nango emphasized that this training is unprecedented in the region and will significantly equip officers in the fight against illegal substances across the county. People in River Gee County have welcomed this initiative, recognizing its potential to strengthen local efforts in combating narcotics and promoting community safety.
The LDEA commander added that this new strategy will sufficiently help reduce the transportation of illegal drug traffickers and users in the region.
By equipping officers with enhanced skills and knowledge, the LDEA said that the latest training aims to disrupt narcotic drugs networks involved in facilitating drug distribution and usage.
This proactive approach is expected to yield significant results in the ongoing battle against narcotics in River Gee County, LDEA authority says.
