In Zwedru: Man Who Allegedly Sodomized 8-Year-Old Boy In Police Custody

Reports from the Liberia’s southeastern Grand Gedeh say a 21-year-old man identified as Bryan Poquee has been arrested and detained by police for allegedly sodomizing a boy, age 8.

The crime reportedly occurred recently in the largest Gold Mine known as CVI Belleh Yallah. The suspect is said to have led the boy into his room under the guise of watching movie on his (Poquee’s) phone.

When the child entered his room, he allegedly locked the door, pushed the boy on the mattress, took off his clothes, covered his mouth with a cloth and sodomized him causing him to bleed from his anus.

After defendant Poquee finished carrying out the evil act against the six- year-old boy, the rape survivor ran out of the room crying. When he went to his mother, who asked him what had happened, the child explained what had been done to him in the room.

After explaining his ordeal to his mother, he was quickly to taken to the Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital in for medical examination, when it was diagnosed that he had actually been penetrated by defendant Poquee.

Police later from the women and children protection section later arrested the man in Zwedru, where he was investigated, charged and forwarded to court.

Defendant Poquee was charged with involuntary sodomy (forced) by the women and children protection section of the Liberia National Police in Zwedru City, GR. Gedeh County.

Currently, the six-year-old abused child is unable to ease himself, as he continues experience severe pain and bleed.

The Independent National Human Rights Commission of Liberia is said to have taken charge of the boy as he undergoes medical treatment.
