Information Ministry Ends 2-Day Training Of Its Drivers

MONROVIA—The Information Ministry this week held a training for drivers of the Ministry, in an effort to build their capacity.

The two-day training was conducted the office of the Assistant Minister for Administration Henrietta Berrian has concluded a two-day training for drivers with Toyota Highlander Bus ahead of the official dedication.

It brought together Eight Drivers who are employees at the Ministry Of Information, were thought in several road maintenance and other safety measures in Montserrado County and its environs ahead of the official dedicatory ceremony for the use of Toyota Highlander Bus for the Ministry Of Information Employees.

The training exercise began on March 25, 2026 with Steering Control, Road Signs and Traffic Congestion in order to build the confidence of drivers while commuting people from one traffic congestion to another destinations.

The driving exercise commences in the compound of the ministry leading to the vicinities of the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville and climaxed at the Stephen Tolbert Estate in Gadnerville.

Participants who benefited from the two-day bus training exercise expressed their overwhelming gratitude  to the management as well as the designated bus instructors for such a golden opportunity, describing training exercise as knowledge gain not only for the ministry but their overall well-being in professional driving.

The beneficiaries noted that the training exercise added additional education to their driving skills and knowledge which according them will be applied at all levels while on duty to provide services for the public considering safety measures and proper maintenance.

It can be in February upon the arrival of the vehicles, Deputy Minister for Administration Johnny Tarkpah said the sole purpose of the various vehicles are intended to ease the transportation constraints that employees have faced over the years something he described as a responsible leadership that understands the needs and wellbeing of the employees at the institution.

The MOI Deputy Minister,maintained that over the years employees have faced serious hardship in getting to work, nothing that the fleet of vehicles will help reduced burden against those with low salary who lived far distances and buttress the timelines during and after working hours.

The chief instructor, Ansu Sheriff of the Liberia National Police thanked the MOI Drivers and the senior management at the ministry for giving him the opportunity to provide knowledge to his colleagues in professional driving from the onset of the training to the last day and congratulates the Eight Participants after the training exercise.

The Chief Instructor, Officer Sheriff cautions the participants to be professional and consider all necessary safety measures because the lives of many employees lie in their hands as such there is need to be very professional and meticulous while serving the public.
