Is the National Archive Center turning into NPP’s purse string?

-CNDRA refutes media report of using state resources to support NPP conflict

The Center for National Documents and Records Agency (CNDRA) has officially responded to a media report that suggested that its Director General, C. Neileh Daitouah is using the Agency funds to support conflict within the National Patriotic Party (NPP).

Two NPP partisans, Saykagepou A. Sagepou and Alexander Shannon told the local OK FM Morning Show on Monday, that the CNDRA Director General C. Neileh Daitouah is using the entity money to support the ongoing political conflict in the party.

The Agency described the reports as unsubstantiated and sensational, categorically denying it. At no point in time, the DG gives the institution money to aid conflict in the party,” a statement from the national Archive Center said.

“To this end, the CNDRA wishes to inform members of the press and public including other key stakeholders that these statements are false and misleading,” the CNDRA noted.

The CNDRA has said it is unfortunate to attribute the ongoing political crisis within NPP to the National Archives Boss Neileh Daitouah.

The Agency says it will not commit government resources towards a crisis in the NPP or any political party, a practice that is totally against good governance.

Meanwhile, the CNDRA is challenging Saykagepou A. Sagepou and Alexander Shannon to provide facts in order to substantiate their baseless claims against its Director General C. Neileh Daitouah.

The CNDRA “condemns in the strongest terms possible attempts by individuals who give a false impression that D.G Daitouah is the chief financier of the ongoing NPP leadership crisis.”

According the National Archive Center, the claim amounts to blackmailing and media in Liberia should start discouraging individuals from using their platforms to report falsehood about credible government officials.
