PRESS STATEMENT

Boston, Massachusetts — Rev. Torli H. Krua will publicly declare that Liberia is, and has always been, the 25th State of the United States, founded not by freed American slaves but by deliberate U.S. racial engineering, ethnic cleansing, and federal policy.

He calls on the United States government to finally acknowledge what the historical record shows: Liberia was established as a U.S. colony “for the settlement of citizens of the United States forever.”

This truth, hidden for more than two centuries, exposes the long-standing myth of “Liberian independence” and reveals a deeper injustice—America’s first and most enduring overseas colony.

Rev. Krua notes that two federal laws, passed by Congress and signed by presidents who were lifelong enslavers, laid the foundation for Liberia’s creation as a tool of racial removal in response to the landmark case Brom & Bett v. Ashley (1781), which affirmed that Black people were citizens under Massachusetts law.

Furthermore, Article I of Liberia’s 1824 Constitution, drafted and approved in Washington, D.C., explicitly states:

“All persons born in Liberia and birthright citizens of the United States settling in Liberia shall be free and entitled to all rights enjoyed by citizens of the United States.”

This language confirms Liberia’s origin as a U.S. jurisdiction, not an independent African nation.

Upcoming Declaration & Movement Launch

Rev. Krua will publish a detailed Manifesto and officially launch the campaign for U.S. Birthright Citizenship for All Persons Born in Liberia

on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Tappita, Nimba County.

At this historic event, he will also call for:

The end of Liberia’s endless cycle of recycled politicians

No 2029 elections.

Instead, a Sovereign Citizens’ Convention to draft a new constitution truly rooted in liberty.

The United States to confess its 200+ years of colonization, apologize, pay reparations, and extend birthright U.S. citizenship to all born in Liberia.

Liberia to be recognized as the 51st State of the United States until true independence is achieved—independence based on truth, accountability, and international justice.

A Global Call to the Colonized

Rev. Krua affirms that no formerly colonized nation is truly independent until the colonizer confesses its actions, apologizes, pays reparations, and participates in reconciliation. He declares:

Freetown is not free without confession, apology, reparations, and reconciliation.

Kenya is not free until reparations are paid.

Senegal remains unsovereign until France confesses
