The LCC President said the sole responsibility of Council is to seek peace and mediate dialogue and prevent chaos.

Reverend Doctor Reeves added that the council believes that the security of the country is paramount and supersedes all vested interests.

The Liberia Council of Churches has urged all Liberians to stay away from all forms, shape and manner of violence during these critical times ahead of general and presidential election.

Rev. Dr. Reeves, who is also the President of the Liberia Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention, admonished political leaders in the country, both ruling and opposition, to prevail on their supporters to desist from acts that have the predisposition to spill out into violence.
