Warns Of Danger Posed By The Rise In Narcotic Drug Trafficking And Abuse

MONROVIA, July 1, 2026 – Liberian Clergyman and Educator, Pastor. Reuben Fiamahn is urging parents in various homes and communities to join the fight against substance abuse by displaying high-level of observation on their children, in order to identify early signs and postures of drugs consumption while under parental control so as to avoid its rampant spread in Liberia.
The Liberian Educator, who is also the Principal of the Worldwide Missions School System Newport made the disclosure at the institution 58th Closing, Honoring and Thanksgiving Program on early this week at the church edifice.

Pst. Fiamahn called on parents and guidance to see the fight against drugs as not only government’s responsibility but the schools, religion institutions as well as the household. As such, he said it must begin with the parents through observations of early signs and symptoms from their pupils.
He said the proliferation of harmful substances in Liberia is alarming and it is destroying the fabric of youthful population and undermining the growth and development of future generations therefore there is a need for all Liberian Residents to be vigilant and make Liberia a drug-free country, sparing children from drug abuse.
The Liberian Educator emphasized that the fight fight against substance abuse is far from over and should be a national cause, and it must not be compromised no matter who is involved as parents should begin to pay attention to the smallest warning signs.
He cited countless hours of sleep, dizziness, loosed talking or lying, desperate need for money, showing no interest for learning or going to school and other inappropiate behavior while under their roofs as children.
Pst. Fiamahn added that parents should raise alarm when necessary, especially when the children begin to displaying these early signs and postures, and continue to guide their children with love, discipline, and wisdom.
Together, they can all safeguard their Future and eradicate drugs abuse in Liberia.
He at the same time congratulates all the honorees for their academic standings and progress report during the periods because there were days, when the students hard to be firm because discipline remains an essential part of education.
The Liberian cleric noted that every challenge they faced was intended to prepare them for greater success.
