The exact cause of his death is not yet known, but Liberian broadcast Journalist Zenu Korboi Miller of the private owned OK Fm 99.5 died on Saturday, February 15, 2020, just few weeks after he received flogging from the elite presidential security, Executive Protection Force (EPS).

That attack took place during the National County Sports meet at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia’s Paynesville suburb.

Journalist Miller, who complained to the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) after being victimized by the security brutality, could not return to work for a period in order to seek medical treatment.

The OK Fm popular afternoon talk show host reportedly died at a local hospital in a suburb of Monrovia, after complaining of pain in his chest and other parts of his body.

A colleague, Clarence Jackson, earlier confirmed his death on social media.

Writing on his Facebook page on Saturday, Mr. Jackson, Editor of OK FM said: “KOBOI, MY FRIEND, MY BROTHER, MY COMRADE, YOU DIDN’T TELL US GOODBYE BROTHER.”

Zenu’s death has triggered a wave of tributes both on air and the social media network from fellow journalists, fans, relatives, friends and the public, with many expressing disbelief over the death of a young broadcaster who until Friday of this week was on the radio.

“A professional big brother and friend has gone, you were one of the kindest persons I ever worked with during my days in mainstream media”, Wellington Railey, a Liberian journalist formerly of New Democrat, posted from the U.S.

“I’m deeply broken. Why Zenu, Rose Kiawuh,” a former workmate of the deceased at his former workplace, Truth FM writes.

Prior to his demise, Zenu worked with several institutions including Truth FM, owned and operated by the Renaissance Communications Incorporated.

The nation will continue to remember him as a remarkable radio personality who positively impacted his audience and professional colleagues.
