TUBMANBURG, Liberia- Local authorities in Tubmanburg, Bomi County including the Superintendent Adama Robertson, Commissioner Obediah Varney and commissioner Meima Barclay Free and others boycotted the visit of Liberia’s Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor over the weekend.

Making the disclosure on local community Radio’s Puma Western Morning Drive in Tubmanburg City on Monday February 17, 2020, the Human Resource personnel in Vice president Taylor’s office, Mr. Varney Gbasay said the County authorities were written through the office of the Superintendent Adama Robertson.

Vice president Jewel Howard Taylor over the weekend visited Bomi County to break grounds for the Bai T. More rehabilitation center.

Mr. Gbasay described the behaviour of the County’s authorities as political fiasco adding that maybe they think if you are not in their camp they cannot attend your program.

The official in the Vice President’s office also said there was excuse from Superintendent Robertson as to why he was not attending the program and other county authories.

It was the traditional women who were doing the traditional dance welcome the Vice president instead of the Superintendent performing that duty.

Furthermore, it was Mr. Arthur Gray who remarks on behalf of the elder.

For his part, Obediah Varney, City Mayor of Tubmanburg told this Reporter that he was not aware of the Vice president visit to the County via mobile phone.
