Local & International Partners In Liberia Take Lead In Being Tested For COVID-19

“We have to show an example as leaders and encourage others to follow our example, this virus can be cure therefore we urged all to show up for the test,’’ he concluded.

In remarks, Liberia World Health Organization Country representative Dr. Peter Clement noted that it is very important and useful for all citizens and everyone to do their COVID-19 test and know their health status.

‘’I am encouraging everyone to come out and do their test, nobody should be afraid to be tested. I am happy to be part of the team with the government of Liberia,’’ Dr. Clement said.

The World Health Organization Country Representative in Liberia wants Liberians put themselves together and work collectively in defeating the killer virus.

Meanwhile, US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Country Director Dr. Desmond Williams called on Liberians to join hands together and fight COVID-19 by following all the preventative measures.

Dr. Williams observed that majority have the virus but done know if they have it therefore noting that knowing your status, will help individuals be a brother’s keeper and safe others around.

‘’We want to encourage everybody to come out especially the affected area to come and know their status, the more people tested will determine and put government in better position to fight the virus,” the US CDC official in Liberia said.
