KAKATA, Liberia- Police in Margibi County are investigating a 22-year-old man over the death of a 16-year-old girl he took out to an entertainment center during the night hours.
The man, Menue King is currently in police custody in the city of Kakata.
On Wednesday, September 23, 2021, Manue King, a resident of Sugar Hill Community is said to have taken the teenager on an outing to a local entertainment center but she was later discovered dead.
A security source close to the situation, who preferred not to be named, said Manue informed him that he took the victim identified as “Baby-Girl Brent” to Sackie Flomo Inn, an entertainment center located in World Bank Community along the Kakata-Gbarnga Highway, where he purchased alcoholic beverages for their consumption.
The alleged perpetrator in his testimony revealed that he purchased two bottles of stout, two cans of Rox, one bottle of Gold Medal and a bottle of Overnight adding that they “equally drank” the stout and spirit called, gold medal along with the cans of Rox, while the victim alone drank the entire bottle of overnight.
Manue’s account, according to our source, is that when he took the girl to his house, he noticed that the victim was excessively drunk and they had an affair.
After that, he allegedly took her out of the room thereby calling her older sister, telling her that he only entertained her little sister who got drunk.
The girl’s sister identified as Sarah then received her helpless sister and took her into their house where they tried to provide her first aid until Thursday morning. But when they rushed her to the Kakata Health Center in the Madina Community for medical treatment, her condition got worst.
It is said that the girl was dead on arrival at the health facility.
The victim was said to have been heavily intoxicated and drugged, while specimen of sperm was found in her private part, our security source said quoting the medical report.
Meanwhile, the body of the 16-year-old girl has since been deposited at the Solomon Tube Funeral Home in Kakata to be preserved, as police investigation continues.
