National Teachers Association Empowering Local Chapters Across Liberia

The National Teachers Association of Liberia has presented 15 lap taps to its local presidents in order to enhance their performances in the 15 sub political divisions.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the association’s President, Mary Nyumah , said the lap taps  were procured from China in order to meet the demand of the work load of the local presidents.

According to her, the association will using the lap taps to conduct zoom meeting between the headquarters and the local presidents especially during the raining seasons when it is difficult to travel in rural Liberia.

She pointed out that the association will also be making arrangement with the computer training institution purposely to conduct training for local presidents who do not have computer knowledge.

Mrs. Nyuma assured them that the association will be mobilizing resources in order to make printers available and other necessary logistics for each of the 15 presidents in the counties.

The NTAL President maintained that it is her administration sincere desire for the association to make all the logistics available for the local presidents in order to for the association to work effectively in the interest of teachers nationwide.

Speaking on behalf of the local presidents,  the President of the Montserrado County Chapter of the National Teachers Association of Liberia, Marthaline Brown thanked the national executive committee for the presentation of 15 lap taps to the local offices.

She assured the NTAL leadership of the local presidents desires to use the lap taps purposely to enhance the work of the association.

Mrs. Brown said the local presidents of the association will endeavor to accelerate their reports whenever the national executive committee needs them.

She recounted the many contributions of the national executive committee to the local presidents including the distribution of 15 motorcycles, acquisition of local offices opportunity for loans, among others.
