Abraham Yarkpawolo, the lover of a young woman, whose lifeless body was discovered with parts extracted in Liberia’s central Bong County last week, is said to be on the run.
National Police Spokesman, Moses Carter told a news conference over the weekend, that the LNP has launched a manhunt for the alleged Murderer of Annie Flomo, age 21.
Annie’s lifeless body was discovered on Wednesday, October 13,2021, under a plum tree beheaded, with her private part and eyes extracted.

Both the deceased and her boyfriend hail from Butasu village in Jorquelleh District #3, outside Bong County’s capital, Gbarnga.
The police said it was the boyfriend of the deceased who reported the missing of his girlfriend, but he has subsequently disappeared.
History of the incident
The incident is said to have occurred on the farm of former Liberian president Charles Taylor. One eyewitness in the area said that Annie was the girlfriend to Chief Abraham Yarkpawolo, age 33 of the Butasu village left the village on Monday for Gbarnga City.
According to the eyewitness account, after the victim had left for Gbarnga at 10:00 am, she didn’t return to the village until her body discovery on Wednesday.
“When she left from the village we didn’t see her until Wednesday so we went to the police to tell them to help us in the process to find where she had gone. The police told us to search for her, whenever we see her, we must have them informed. But it was very suddenly only to see her body lying down under the plum tree without eyes, private part and her head cut off’,’’ the witnessed narrated.
What shocked the family members was the alleged disappearance of the boyfriend Abraham Yarkpawolo, following the discovery of the victim body.
Many believe that the boyfriend might have marketed her for ritualistic purposes.
Mr. Yarkpawolo, who is now considered a prime suspect, has been on the run since the discovery of the body, as LNP Bong county detachment has since launched a manhunt for him, Police spokesperson H. Moses Carter told Journalists on Friday, October 15, 2021.

At the same time, the LNP spokesman over the weekend arrested four members of the black march group who took to the street in Monrovia.
Mr. Carter said prior to their street march, the black march leader, Timothy Pakalah and police authority held a meeting that they should bring some of those who were killed through Ritualistic means as a means of proof to their claims.
And he said, the organizer of the group agreed to email it to the police before they can take on the street but unfortunately, what was requested by the police was never sent by the black match organizer.
LNP Spokesperson said during the early hours of Friday morning, the black match was very peaceful but later when they begin blocking the main entrance of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, where President Weah has his offices.
But Police fired teargas on the black marchers, something that prompted them to begin throwing stones at the police.
Police then arrested four persons for allegedly engaging in violence.
Spokesman Carter said they were being investigated, charged and will be sent to court shortly.
Two arrested in connection with violence in Lofa County
The LNP Spokesperson, Moses Carter has also told Journalists said the police have arrested two persons out of five in connection to the burning of their police station in Foya, Lofa County.
The two persons are Robert Saah, age 21 and Mark Papa, age 19.
The suspects allegedly use gasoline to set the police station ablaze for reasons yet to be known, the police spokesman announced.
At the same time, police have also arrested a man identified as David Mawolo in Lofa County for attack on the local office of the National Elections Commission in Voinjama on October 8, 2021, and he is currently undergoing investigation.
The police spokesperson also said, he has embarked on community policing in various communities to enforce basis law enforcement and they have partnership with community members in preventing and solving crimes.
Mr. Carter further told journalists that they have ear mark joint community policing to get rid of ghettos in every community, something he believes is the source of crimes meted out against citizens.
He said the police has sent caveat to property owners hosting ghettos to immediately destroy them or else the law will destroy it for them.
