Bomi Lawmaker Taken To Court For “Incompatibility Of Temper”

TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia- After four years in wedlock, Bomi County District #1 Representative Edwin Melvin Snowe Jr. has been taken to court by his wife, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Sie-A-Nyene G. Yuoh.

Rep. Snowe, who has launched his bid to contest the December 8, 2020 Mid-term Senatorial election, has been summoned by the Civil Law Court, in his third divorce saga. He had earlier married the daughter of former Liberian President Charles Taylor, Zoe Taylor and Mardia White.

This follows a complaint filed for Action of Divorce for “incompatibility of temper” before the six Judicial Civil Law Court ‘A’ presided over by Resident Circuit Judge, J. Kennedy Peabody.

Following the filing of the complaint the Civil law court has issued a writ of summoned on the District #1Bomi County lawmaker sitting in it September A.D. 2020 term of court.

According to the writ of summons, Rep. Snowe is expected to appear on the 21st of September 2020, at 10am same being the formal opening day of the September A.D. 2020 to answer the complaint of the above named plaintiff in an Action of Divorce for incompatibility of temper that upon his failure to appear, judgement by default will be rendered against him.

The 50-year-old Bomi County Lawmaker, who was married to Zoe Taylor in 1999, was divorced by her in 2020.

Later, Mr. Snowe got married to Mardia White in 2003 but said marriage ended with Mardia White being divorced.

Meanwhile, the Sheriff of the Civil Law Court is commanded to notify the aforesaid defendant to file his formal appearance and or answer to plaintiff’s complaint in the office of the sheriff on or before the 22nd day of August A.D. 2020. Report by Garmah Never Lomo, garmahlomo@gmail.com
