Some unknown individuals in Grand Bassa County have allegedly planned to go after three journalists due to their critical and independent reporting in this Special Senatorial Election scheduled for December 8, a local community radio, Magic FM has reported.

This respectable station quotes reliable sources in the area as saying, that the three journalists, who have been targeted, are Station Manager Christopher Yarwoe, Broadcast Supervisor Zahn Dehdyugar both of Magic FM, and the Chief Executive Officer of Ableejay Online Television, Elton Tiah.

According to multiple sources that informed Magic FM and Ableejay TV, that the three journalists have been listed by paid agents to either harm or kill them.

The sources did not say why the trio are specifically being targeted nor name those who have paid those unknown individuals to carry out the mission.

But the sources cautioned the three local Journalists to be careful with their lives and how they go about covering stories.

The sources also said that those who hired the killers don’t like the radio program on Magic FM called “Inside the Media”. The show comes on, on every Saturday at 7:00AM because of the critical nature of it.

Inside the Media takes a critical review of stories reported during the week. It also looks at stories reported in the local dailies.

They told Magic FM that the reason why Elton Tiah is targeted is because he appears on the show to analyze stories reported during the week.

However, the Station Manager, Christopher Yarwoe said they are not deterred by the threat but remain resolute to provide impartial broadcast to the public without any fear or favor.
