SOS Call: 23-Year-old Liberian Seeks Advance Medical Attention Abroad

-Cries out: “I feel out of this world”

An unknown illness since birth is said to be ruining the life of a potential young Liberia, James P. Doe making him feel like out of the world.

Speaking in Gardnesville District #12 Montserrado County, James, age 23 said is struggling from an unknown sickness since 1997 and it is gradually eating up his entire left back side of his body. And the excruciating pain could be seen in the expressing on his face.

“I hardly sleep at night and I am living on Drugs,” ailing James told reporters.

He furthered that due to his current condition whenever he is walking in the streets, he feels as if something is holding him back due to the weight of the illness and pain on his left side of his back.

Speaking to reporters early this week, James appealed to national government, philanthropist and other well-meaning Liberians to come to his aid, in order to restore his health, as he currently feels he is not normal.

The High School graduate pointed out that by the Grace of God he has an Indian Medical Visa which will expired in early March, as such an urgent assistance to save his life is what he needs and is therefore appealing for such keen help.

According to Visa Document and medical report has it that James is expected to spend three Months in India for treatment at the Dharamshila Narayana Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi.

Explaining further he noted that in 2008 Mercy Ship team of medical doctors did an operation on him and the unknown sickness was healed. But later in 2009, it resurfaced with more pressure as he is currently feeling massive pain daily.

“I feel abandoned, neglected and discriminated by others whenever I am walking in the streets, but I am hopeful that one day my pain will be over,” James, in sorrow added.

He said the unknown sickness is not in their family and did not know where it came from.

However, the 23-year-old man told reporters that his mother told him he was born with a small reddish discolored lesion on the left side of his body.

A Medical report from the SDA Cooper Hospital dated January 16, 2017 revealed that in 2009 that the sickness came back.

The mess measures 26 times 3 centimeter with a mild hyper-pigmentation across the mid-section surrounding the transverse scar from his first resection.

The report further disclosed that the illness may be a recurrent benign tumor such as a lymphovascular malformation or a more concerning tumor such as a liposarcoma.

The SD Cooper general Surgeon US Based certified,  Gillian Seton stressed that James needs more imagine such as CT Scan or MRI that are not in Liberia at the time.

He should have tissue biopsies and surgical oncology evaluation to assess whether this mass can be respected again with reduced risk of recurrence, or if other treatment would be beneficial, Dr. Seton added.

At the same time A JFK Diagnosis report on November 14, 2019 on James also indicated that James has tissue sarcoma suspected on clinical grounds.
