Cautions Local Commissioners To Exercise Patience

 MONROVIA (LINA)- The Head of Liberia Football Association (LFA), Mustapha Raji, has expressed his profound gratitude on behalf of the association to Liberian Representatives for their performances as Match Commissioners during FIFA and CAF assignments as he admonishes local commissioners to exercise restrain and await the opportunity to handle International matches.

According to the LFA release, Today, at the level of International Football, Liberia has only four slots, consisting of two males and two females for Match Commissioner assignment in International Competition as he hopes to see the number increase and expand by the International Bodies of football so that other local match commissioners would be added and incorporate others to get International assignments.

“We are happy our representatives are performing very well as per the report from FIFA and CAF. Every Match Commissioner in our football system is important and qualified to represent Liberia”.  Raji asserted.

The LFA President was speaking on August 15, 2024, at the lunch of a two-day Match Commissioner Refresher Workshop held at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia where he made these remarks emphasizing the need and passionate pled with local Match Commissioners to be patient and wait for the opportunity to handle FIFA, CAF International Stages.

He disclosed to scores of Match Commissioners and participants at a refresher workshop citing that today as a result of the limitation of slots and high performance of Liberia’s current representatives, the list is unchanged for now but cautious local Match Commissioners to be patient and dedicate time while on local duties.

The refresher workshop was facilitated by former LFA President and now Commissioner General of the association, Izetta Wesley, LFA Competition Manager, Joel Freeman and former FIFA Badge Referee, Alex Nagbo. They all lecture the participants in their respective disciplines.
