Competitive kickball action returns to Margibi County this weekend, as the 2025–2026 season of the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) Margibi Sub-Association League officially kicks off.

The new league season begins on Saturday, April 18, at the open-air Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.

This season will feature nine clubs that met the participation requirements, despite earlier plans to include ten teams. Among the expected participants are newcomers Kamara KC, Mighty Power KC, and United Angels KC.

United Angels KC will be making a notable return to the second-tier league after previously earning promotion to the top division of LKF competitions.

League Administration and Sponsorship

Sub-association Chairman Roland Michael Tarr Nyumah stated in an interview that all participating clubs must pay at least 50% of their registration fees to be eligible to play their opening matches.

He also confirmed that the association is actively seeking sponsorship but has yet to secure any partners despite ongoing outreach to institutions and individuals.

Defending Champions

Fuamah Girls KC, based in Bong Mines, enter the new season as defending champions after winning last year’s league title. God’s Favor KC finished as runners-up.

Fuamah Girls KC have already made a strong start to the season, securing their second trophy in club history by winning the 2026 LKF Margibi Sub-Association Super Cup—the first silverware of the new campaign.
