Major Deal Secured By D-Rockas With Bukonjaden Group of Companies

It is often said that “preparation leads to success”. And this was showcased during the weekend, when one of the youngest and most promising teams in the Liberian Basketball Association (LBA) women’s division proudly announced a significant sponsorship agreement with the Bukonjaden Group of Companies.

The partnership agreement was a testimony of the growing commitment of Liberian business leaders like Elton Datee Johns to invest in the youth and the future of Liberia.

The sponsorship deal was done on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Bukonjadeh Villa in Monrovia’s Paynesville suburb between the two institutions.

This historic sponsorship agreement, valued at 200,000 Liberian Dollars, marks a pivotal moment for D-Rockas Basketball Club, as it embarks on its journey toward success.

The agreement, formalized on this auspicious day, underscores the dedication of Elton Datee Johns, CEO of Bukonjaden Group of Companies, to uplift Liberian talent and foster a culture of growth and progress within the nation’s sports community.

Speaking during the sponsorship deal ceremony held in Paynesville Mr. Elton Johns Chief Executive Officer, Bukonjadeh Group of Companies said:
“We believe in the potential of Liberia’s youth, and supporting the D-Rockas Basketball Club is an embodiment of our commitment to Liberia’s future,” said Elton Datee Johns.

For his part, Abraham Dorley lauded the Bukonjaden Group of Companies for such a huge sponsorship in with he described as a dream come true.

The Vice President for Administration of the female outfit club Dorley added that this sponsorship deal brings a new beginning for the club and has added more value to Basketball in the country especially in the female category.

” This partnership is a defining moment for D-Rockas Basketball Club,” said  the club’s Vice President for Administration Dorley.

“We are immensely grateful to Bukonjaden Group of Companies and CEO Elton Datee Johns for such a visionary support.”

Terms of the sponsorship deal

Under the sponsorship contract, Bukonjaden Group of Companies will provide financial support to D-Rockas Basketball Club, enabling the team to enhance its activities, events, and programs.

In return, the Club will showcase the Sponsor’s brand on its official jerseys, team merchandise, promotional materials, digital platforms, and during events.

This synergy aims to create a mutually beneficial partnership that not only promotes the Sponsor’s products and services but also strengthens the bonds within the local community.

The sponsorship is said to be a reflection of the commitment to the team’s progress and performance in the Liberian Basketball Association. The D-Rockas Basketball Club and Bukonjaden Group of Companies stand united in their pursuit of excellence, progress, and unity within the nation.

About D-Rockas Basketball Club came into being in 2005 at which time it was the male version but haven seen the need the vision bearer or CEO Ali Sylla turned it into the female version as a means of taking Girls from on the street by making them a better and useful person in society.

The club ended in the big six of the female category of the Liberia National Basketball Association women’s division where they have taken part in such competition for three seasons.

And on the other hand, the Bukonjaden Group of Companies is involved in Microfinance loan and construction where Elton Datee Johns serves as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) that is situated in Monrovia.
