The Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium here in the County’s capital—home of Margibi’s celebrated Zenith Football House—was alive with excitement over the weekend as the final Group B matches of the Margibi County Inter-Electoral District League came to a dramatic close.

Kickball – Group B

On Sunday, November 16, Kakata District forfeited their match to District #4 in the opening game of the day. In the second encounter, District #3 secured a narrow 2–1 home victory over District #5, maintaining their impressive run.

Football – Group B

Kakata District boosted their campaign with a 1–0 win over District #4, handing the latter their third straight defeat of the tournament.

In the day’s final showdown, defending football champions District #3 earned a late 1–0 victory against District #5 thanks to a superb header by substitute Leekpilay Holder, assisted by Degaki Suah.

The twin victories for the boys’ and girls’ teams of Rep. Ellen A. Attoh-Wreh (District #3) over the sides representing Rep. Clarence Gahr (District #5) marked District #3’s second win in both categories.

District #3 also achieved a remarkable defensive record—they finished the group stage without conceding a single goal in football.

With two wins and one draw in both football and kickball, District #3 claimed second place in Group B, behind Kakata District, who topped the table.

Group A – Final Matches in Harbel

At the same time, Group A games were concluded at the Unification Sports Stadium on Tuesday, November 18.
