Domestic league football is continuing in the Orange National 1st Division league in Liberia.
Matches of Round 14 continued last weekend with interesting results, as hundreds of spectators poured out to see domestic league football as second phase resumes.
The top-tier league of Liberia, the Orange National League-1st Division league Round- 14 witness over six games at four venues across the Country– namely the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, ATS on the UN Drive in Monrovia, SKD Practice Pitch in Paynesville and the Tusa Field Sports Pitch in Gardnerville.
On Sunday, 29 January at the theater football house of Margibi County, the opened-air Nancy B.Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata Freeport FC hopes of staying in the top-tier league came to reality as Freeport FC collected the first three points of the 2nd phase in an away fixture to Sandi FC.
Debutant Darius Johnson and Tony Giah goals in each half for Freeport FC pinned Sandi FC.
The former SUSA FC player Johnson who marks his debut give Freeport FC a 1-0 halftime win over Sandi FC as he scores in the 20′ minute to open his account for his new club Freeport FC.
Back from the break the home team Sandi FC played entertaining football as the Margibi County outfit top-tier club Sandi FC featured plenty of youngster marking the debut in the top-tier league of Liberia, the Orange National League-1st Division.
It was substitute Tony Giah’s goal in the 60the minute that gave the visitors real hope to double the score to 2-0 over Sandi FC. But the home team got a lone goal from the penalty spot in the 82 ‘ minute through Melivin Roesler with full-time ending in 2-1 in favor of Freeport FC over Sandi FC.
The win was Freeport FC third win of the 2022-2023 league season thus making it the first win for Coach Thomas Ampomah In his first game in charge for Freeport FC.
This win moves Freeport FC from the relegation zone as the team sits11th place with eleven points (11) from 14 games
And still with much interesting results, league leader Bea Mountain retains top spot after LISCR FC moves on top.
The Kinjor-based club Bea Mountain recorded a convincing away 2-0 win over MUSCAT FC.
Yaya Bility and Edward Ledlum’s second half goals sealed a 2-0 convincing away win for Bea Mountain over MUSCAT FC at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville after a scoreless first half.
The win for Coach Robert Lartey Boys Bea Mountain gives the team 2 points lead ahead of LISCR FC and 3 points ahead of Champions Watanga FC who sit at 2nd and 3rd place on the league table.
The Kinjor-based club Bea Mountain welcomes the return of Mark Paye who was suspended for a year for misconduct or assult on FIFA-BADGED Referee Moses Forkpah on December 5, 2021at the Tusa Field Sports Pitch in Gardnerville during a game with LISCR FC.
The club recruited mew faces which include the like of former BYC I and LPRC Oilers player Terry Sackor.
In other results, on day one of the opening fixture of the 2nd phase on 24 January Heaven Eleven recorded a 2-0 home win over Nimba Kwado at the ATS on UN Drive.
On 26 January at the Tusa Field Sports Pitch in Gardnerville LPRC Oilers suffers a 4-2 humiliation to Mighty Barrolle.
At the SKD in Paynesville on 27 January the Church Boys of Jubilee held Champions Watanga FC to a goalless draw.
At the ATS on UN Drive on 27 January Christopher Jackson and Sierra Leonean international Ishmael Dumbuya’ second half goals sealed a comfortable 2-0 away win for LISCR FC over Cece United after both teams played to a goalless draw at halftime.
It was the former MVP Christopher Jackson’s 10th goal of the season for the Shipping Boys of LISCR FC as Jackson leads the goal-scoring chat of the Orange National League-1st Division.
On Saturday, 28 January reigning MVP Sidiki Kromah 25 ‘ minute goal in the first 45 ‘ minutes salvaged a point for Invincible Eleven as the Yellow Sunshine Boys of I.E and Nimba United FC played to a one -all draw.

In totally, Round 14 recorded 17 goals with only Jubilee FC and Champions Watanga FC Match either team did not find the back of the net in such match.
The league resumed yesterday, Wednesday, February 1, 2023 with former back-to-back champions LPRC Oilers rubbing shoulders with Jubilee FC at the Tusa Field Sports Pitch in Gardnerville in the opening games of Round 15.
