Monrovia, Liberia- The Napoli leading goal scorer, Victor Osimhen has levelled the current Liberian President and former AC Milan’s hitman, George Manneh Weah’s record for the highest African goal-scorer in the Italian Serie A with 46 goals.

Nigerian International has equaled the 1995 FIFA Ballon d’Or winner’s record by scoring a crucial goal in the 1-1 draw against Udinese which helped the Parthenopeans to clinch the first Serie A title in over 33 years.

Today, Napoli are Serie A Champions for the first time in 33 years following a crucial 1-1 draw at Udinese, with the Nigerian International scoring the lone goal for his side which gives the Parthenopeans a favourable chance to clinch the championship over its counterpart in the Italian League.

Both Osimhen and President Weah, a former AC Milan goal-puncher, and the FIFA Ballon d’Or, who is at the helm of the presidency in Liberia have netted 46 goals each in the Italian Serie A. Adding that as a result of his, performance and levelling the record of the Liberian Leader in Italian Football, Osimhen has become a favourite to top clubs in Europe considering as him as a world-famous striker.

The 2022/2023 season is a remarkable spell for the Italian Champions who have been head and shoulders above all rivals in Serie  A this season, and the Nigerian International whose contributions have secured the title with five games remaining.

They have scored 69 goals and conceded 23 goals making them the most goals scored and the fewest goals conceded.
