Liberian women have been advised to make the maximum use of their time, if they are to succeed in their undertakings.
The advice was advanced by Mr. Abraham Diah, a prominent resident of the GSA Road Community when he served as guest speaker at a program making the honoring of women that have impacted the society and the reopening of the vocational training school of the women of Grace for Sustainable and Holistic Development (WOGSUHD).
Addressing the women, Mr. Diah advised the women to identify their desires in life and formulate ways to transform their desires to realities.
“Identify what you want to do and how you want to do what you want to do, do it will and attach time to them all,” Mr. Diah said.
He told them that if they are to get on track with other women, they need to use their time wisely adding that the more a person is less busy, the more they participate in things they have no reason doing.
“Always have a purpose, wake up a plan, do not be afraid to fail, work smarter and not stronger and use you time well,” Mr. Diah said.
He indicated that every day that passes by makes people older and as such living without plan and purpose is very wrong something he called on women to disabuse their minds from doing but adopt the habit of planning and pursuing their purpose in life.
Mr. Diah thanked WOGSUHD for the level of work they have done in the GSA Rd community and Liberia in general adding that their efforts have not gone unnoticed.
“You have made many women in this community to get skills and to buttress your efforts, my family and I will make available the skill training fees for 10 of your students,” Mr. Diah indicated.
Speaking earlier, the Executive Director of the Women of Grace for Sustainable and Holistic Development, Teyangi K. Kerkula said the institution set up by her group has impacted the Liberian society through their efforts to make positive things come out of women and girls of Liberia.
She said since the skills training center was opened in 2011, the women honored have been there with her and they have stood by her, ensuring that the program becomes a successful one.
She vowed to continue ensuring that women get the right kind of training that will make them dependable women in the Liberian society.
“If we will have to walk from house to house to encourage women to learn, we will, but I will not get tire. From today, you people should call me never give up or never get tire,” she added.
The 26 women honoured have positively impacted lives. Six out of 26 of them were present at the honouring ceremony.
Those honored included Mrs. Evelyn Kpadeh Seagbeh, Mrs. Joyce Jawolo, Mrs. Musu Zangar, Mrs. Yeinyeh Nahn Madam Tenneh Swaray, and Lurpu W. Sumo.
Speaking after the ceremony, the honorees thanked the Women of Grace for Sustainable and Holistic Development for identifying them from among thousands of women in Liberia to choose them for an honor.
