Veteran Liberian Journalist, Ex-PUL President Sam Van Kesselly is dead

-PUL saddened by his passing

Monrovia, Liberia- The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) is saddened by the death of Mr Sam Van Kesselly, Sr., former President of the PUL, an announcement from the Journalists Union said on Wednesday.

Mr. Van Kesselly was 65 Years old. This sad event occurred on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at his residence in Barnesville Estate.

The fallen Liberian Journalist worked with and edited a number of Liberian newspapers including the Daily Star, Daily Observer, the News and the Liberian Diaspora.

The remains of the veteran journalist have been deposited at the Abraham Robert Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements. the death of Journalist J. Varney Kamara, Jr. 

Meanwhile, the Press Union of Liberia has been informed of first family meeting being scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2019 at 4:pm at House # T-28, Barnesville Estate, outside Monrovia.

The Leadership of the Press Union of Liberia is at same time kindly requesting all former Presidents of Union and Media Executives to meet on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11am at Union’s Headquarters.

The gathering will inform the journalism community participation in the first family meeting of the Kessellys in Barnesville, says the PUL announcement signed by its Secretary General, Daniel Nyakonah, Jr.
