Before the communication was sent to House of Rep. Committees on Ways, Means, Finance and Development Planning, Investment and Lands & Mines,Lofa County Representative Mariamu Fofana raised the issue of environmental as it relates to the where the plant is expected to be constructed.

She advised the committees to take into serious considerations health and environmental impact of such an industry.

However, Rep. Acarous Moses Gray motion captured all of the issues raised by his colleagues and the committees were given two weeks to report findings of the plenary of the House of Representatives.
