Says Pres. Boakai Taking Credit For CDC-Led Gov’t Project

The opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of former President George Manneh Weah has strongly reacted the state of the nation address terming it as the bunch of lies, failed promises and claiming of the projects already initiated by the CDC-led government
CDC Chairman, Attorney Jango Kowo, whose speech centered labor, reconciliation, poor economic performances, police brutality, rape and sodomizing of boys, disclosed that the government should display the payroll for the 70,000 employment the UP government created.
Addressing a press conference in response of the state of nation address, Chairman |Kowo claimed that the pronouncement by the government on no car will hitch in the road is a scheme because rural dwellers are still experiencing difficulties in transporting during the raining seasons.
According to the CDC, President Boakai’s promise to invest in agriculture has proven to be false as not much investment in the sector in the 2026 national budget.
The Director of an International Faith Based organization; Jesus Ministry Church Global Dr. Sharilyn M. Garrett has stressed the needs for medical intervention in Liberia.
According to Dr. Garrett Liberians need medical assistance that will help address several medical issues affecting Liberians most especially the vulnerable encouraging Liberians across the country to put God first and always have a balanced diet.
Speaking to reporters at the end of a four-day Phase One health assessment tour across Margibi, Bong, Nimba, and Grand Bassa counties, Dr. Garrett explained that the visit was intended to obtain first-hand information regarding the free surgical and other medical interventions expected in Liberia by Jesus Ministry Church Global.
The tour, which forms part of Dr. Garrett’s mission to Liberia, is aimed at assessing hospitals or health facilities, both private and government, with adequate space, qualified medical professionals, and strategic locations to address common illnesses requiring surgical intervention in Liberia.
Dr. Garrett maintained that the findings will guide the Ministry’s Board of Directors in deciding on the establishment of a medical outreach camp planned for 2027, pending approval.
For his part, Pastor Roland Chester, Lead Pastor of Jesus Ministry Church Global Africa/Asia and Liberia Chapter, commended the Ministry and Dr.
Garrett for the opportunity to serve and by bringing medical relief to the people of Liberia and Africa.
Pastor Chester, however, described the initiative as a blessing for Liberia and urged citizens to take full advantage of the opportunity once approved by the Board.
During the tour, Dr. Garrett and her team visited several health facilities, including the government-owned C.H. Rennie Hospital in Kakata, Margibi County, Grand Bassa Government Hospital, Nyanpu-Ta Medico Surgical Clinic in Gbarnga, Bong County, the Gbarnga Community Health Center in Gbarnga, United Methodist Hospital in Ganta, Nimba County, and Esther and Jeremiah Koung Medical Center in Ganta, Nimba County.
