Why Has A Man Who Allegedly Killed His Pregnant Girlfriend & Daughter Refusing To Speak To Police?

TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia – In recent weeks, a 26 year-old man allegedly killed his pregnant girlfriend and her six years old daughter but after later being arrested, he has failed to speak to the police as what led to his action.

According to the police charge sheet, On Thursday, September 26, 2024, about 0200hrs ,Emmanuel Dehkee one of the occupants of the house where the alleged gruesome murder took place said, he was seated on the front porch of the house along with defendant Malison Garpeh after a while, victims Promise Bowah arrived with her little daughter Faith Miracle Davies and they all sat on the porch at which time victim Promise Bowah told her little daughter to go and get her water from in their room to drink but the little girl (victim Faith Miracle Davies) got afraid and insisted that until her foster father, defendant Malison Garpeh go with her into their room but defendant Malison Garpeh refused and victim Promise Bowah immediately went for the water herself.

In furtherance of the investigation, defendant Malison Garpeh, victims Promise Bowah and Faith Miracle Davies went to bed while Emmanuel Dehkee who is one one of the occupants in the house also went into his room and ensure that the front door to the house was locked.

Additionally, after an hour Alexander Jackson and his girlfriend Ruth Lackay arrived at the house and they went to defendant Malison Garpeh window appealed to him to open the front door to enable them enter the house.

Subsequently, defendant Malison Garpeh opened the door for Alexander Jackson and Ruth Lackay and they went straight into their room and they do not come out until the following morning.

The next morning on Friday, September 27, 2024, about 0500hrs-0600hrs Ruth Lackay woke up from bed to clean the house when she noticed a thick stain believed to be blood leading from defendant Malison Garpeh bedroom through the living room to the back door and she hurriedly woke up her boyfriend Alexander Jackson who also came out from his room and flash the light to where his girlfriend earlier saw the blood and they knocked defendant Malison Garpeh door but there was no response then Alexander Jackson immediately ran to call a Police Officer who lives in Hast Town by the name Junior Carter while Ruth Lackay began to knock on Emmanuel Dehkee’s door one of the occupants in the house who also woke up and saw the stain believed to be blood.

The investigation also discovered that while defendant Malison Garpeh was carrying on the gruesome act in his bedroom the occupants of the house did not hear’ sound as they were asleep.

Accordingly, after defendant Malison Garpeh committed the crime he passed through the back door of the house and fled into the cassava bush where he was hiding until Sunday September 29,2024, when he was arrested by citizens of Hast Town, Robertsville, White Plain, Montserrado County.

DETAIL OF OFFENSE On Friday, September 27, 2024 at about 0200hrs or thereabout, the Liberia National Police (LNP) through its Zone Eleven (11) Base was informed that a lady identified as Promise Bowah age 21 yrs old and her little daughter Faith Miracle Davies age 6yrs old was seen lying unconscious in their bed oom in a pool of blood located Harts Town, Robertsville, White Plain, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia.

INVESTIGATION During Police CSD Investigation conducted, it was revealed that victim Promise Bowah had been in a relationship with defendant Malison Garpeh as boyfriend and girlfriend for less than a year and living together under one roof in a three bedroom house situated in Hast Town, Robertsville, White Plain, Montserrado County, where defendant Malison Garpeh is the caretaker.

Accordingly, the victim as the result of the circumstances that triggered/provoked the death of Promise Bowah and Faith Miracle Davies on Friday, September 27, 2024, the following findings were gathered. INVESTIGATIVE FINDINGS

That; prior to victim Promise Bowah death on Friday September 27, 2024, she had been living with defendant Malison Garpeh for the past eleven (11) months in Hast Town, Robertsville, White Plain, Montserrado County with Five (5) months pregnant and had her little daughter, victim Faith Miracle Davies livina with them whom she had before meeting defendant Malison Garpeh.

That; defendant Malison Garpeh went to bed with his girlfriend victims Promise Bowah and along with foster daughter Faith Miracle Davies on the night of Thursday, September 26, 2024,

That; after defendant Malison Garpeh knowingly, Intentionally and purposely committed the gruesome murder under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life against Victims Promise Bowah and Faith Miracle Davies he fled through the back door of the house and went into hiding in a nearby Cassava Farm for Three (3) days before being arrested after a search was done by citizens of Hast Town, Robertsville, White Plain, Montserrado County.

Even though defendant Malison Garpeh claimed that the criminal Agency (Cutlass) used to carry out the murder was left in the garage of the house, during search two cutlasses were discovered from the garage but the defendant claimed it was not any of those cutlasses he used.

That, the Green and Cream Three (3) bedroom house is situated in Hast Town, Robertsville, White Plain, Montserrado County where the murder Occured, is owned by Madam Faith Gargar, while defendant Malison Garpeh was the caretaker.

CONCLUSION In view of the facts established in this case couple with na chop wounds seen on both victims (Promise Bowah and Faith Miracle Davies), the investigation resolved to charge defendant Malison Garpeh with the commission of the crimes’ Murder and Aggravated Assault in violation of Chapter 14 SuDchapter A, Sections 14. 1 and 14.20, of the revised penal law of Liberia Dending trial by a court of competent jurisdiction.
