PAYNESVILLE, Liberia – The Proprietor of Creative Voice Academy, Rev. Theophilus S. B. Sarvice has called on parents and students to prioritize quality education, moral values that ensure a conducive learning environment when choosing schools to enroll in.
Speaking during the academy’s 11th graduation ceremony in Paynesville City outside Monrovia during the weekend, Rev. Sarvice stressed that the deteriorating state of Liberia’s education system is largely due to unqualified teachers, poor administrative structure, substandard school facilities and unfavorable learning environments.
The ceremony was held under the theme “Looking Into Our Culture of Education in Liberia Today.”
Rev. Sarvice also cited the influence of parents and students in school selection, weak institutional partnerships, and misplaced priorities as significant challenges hindering educational progress in the country.
“If Liberia’s education system must be transformed, parents must stop being sentimental about their children’s education,” he said. “Instead, they should focus on academic quality, moral values, and the overall learning environment.”
He expressed concern over the increasing trend of student migration, where students transfer from one school to another after failing, describing it as another factor undermining educational integrity.
Rev. Sarvice emphasized that Creative Voice Academy was established to groom intellectuals who will serve as voices for their generation. “We are the voices,” he declared.
“Our goal is to raise generational leaders equipped to take on life’s challenges through intellectual achievement.”
Reflecting on the 2024/2025 academic year, Rev. Sarvice thanked God for the school’s accomplishments despite facing one of the most challenging periods in its eleven-year history.
He noted that the school achieved 95% success in student performance, parental engagement, and knowledge delivery.
The graduation event marked a significant milestone for the institution as it continues its mission of academic excellence and moral leadership in Liberia.
Walterson W. Tarplah, the proud valedictorian of the 9th grade class at Creative Voice Academy, delivered a heartfelt and inspiring address during the school’s 11th graduation ceremony.
In his speech, Tarplah encouraged his classmates to persevere through life’s challenges and never lose sight of their dreams.
“Keep going when things get tough. Do not give up the fight in achieving your goal,” he said. “Remain focused, determined, and courageous in the pursuit of your life goals.”
Tarplah’s words were met with applause from fellow students, teachers, and proud family members in attendance.
His message served as a powerful reminder of the importance of resilience and determination, especially for young people embarking on the next chapter of their academic journey.
The event marked a significant milestone for the students of Creative Voice Academy, celebrating their hard work and setting the tone for a future filled with promise and potential.
