After Going Missing, Man, 72 Found Dead AT Hoffman Station, Harper

HARPER, Liberia- A Man, age 72 identified as James Gbaryon Sieh

has been dis discovered, with his remains floating in the Hoffman River here, just few feet away from the Samuel Haier Funeral Parlour in Harper City, southeastern Liberia.

According to family sources who spoke to www.newspublictrust.com, the late James Sieh was reported missing on Friday, April

10, 2020, when he left his Hoffman station residence.  He had left during the early morning of Friday for his farm to cut palm nuts, something they

Claim he does for his daily survival. “Our brother went across the Hoffman River  on his farm to cut Palm and he  was not seen in the community until  his dead body was discovered in the River during the evening hours of Sunday, April 12, 2020 .

The late James Sieh mysterious disappearance on Friday claimed the

attention of community residents, members and a massive search begun

only to discover his lifeless body in the River. The victim relatives alleged that the brother was beaten by some unknown individuals that broke his hands and allegedly inflicted wounds on the upper parts of his body .

Speaking to News Public Trust, a family member said: “We are of the strong conviction that there was a fault  played on the body of their late brother, James Sieh.”

It was suspected that there was foul play.

Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police Maryland County detachment

Commander, Superintendent Jacob Kumeh has told journalists that the

14-member Corina Jury setup to investigate reported that there was foul play. The jury included medical workers.
