Agent Of Presidential Elite Force, EPS Disrobed For Allegedly Killing A Civilian

The civilian shot dead in the Police Academy Community suburb of Paynesville has been identified as Valintine T. Johnson and it is now known that an officer of the presidential elite force, Executive Protection Service (EPS), Patrick Kollie did the fatal shooting.

On Monday, the Liberia National Police (LNP) confirmed the death of the man in the Paynesville suburb of Monrovia and said it has arrested the alleged perpetrator only then identified as Patrick Kollie.

Later the EPS Director Trokon Roberts issued a statement extending condolences to the bereaved family of the dead man and said officer Kollie had been disrobed with immediate effect and turned over to the Police.

Police say circumstances surrounding the shooting incident are being currently investigated by the LNP, while the suspect remains in Police custody.

But relatives of the victim, who assembled at the LNP headquarters on Capitol Hill, are demanding justice.

The Executive Protection Service (EPS) extends its sincere condolences to the bereaved family of the late Valentine T. Johnson who died as a result of a shooting incident involving one of its agents, Patrick Kollie.

The incident reportedly took place on the Police Academy road during the early hours of July 4, 2022.

Upon the order of Director Trokon N. Roberts, Agent Patrick Kollie has, with immediate effect, been disrobed

and turned over to the Liberia National Police for investigation.
