Alexander Cummings Again Vows To Make Weah A One-Term President

The opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC) leader former Chairman of the collaborating political parties has again called on his fellow partisans to make President George Weah a one-term president.

Mr. Alexander Cummings said the CDC government has failed the Liberian people.

He said the CDC government has broken down every sector of the country. The former CPP chairman then call on his fellow Partisans to be focus in liberating the Liberian people.

“The CDC government has failed the Liberian people. This government doesn’t not believe in women participation in politics evidenced by all-male candidates fielded during the just ended senatorial election,” the CPP outgoing chairman maintained.

Speaking at a program marking the turn over ceremony of the CPP leadership from the ANC to the Liberty Party earlier this week, Mr. Cummings called on supporters of the CPP to make history comes 2023.

“I want all of us Partisans to join forces to defeat the ruling coalition of Democratic Change. Hon. Alexander Cummings recommended.

The outgoing chairman maintained that the CDC led government has broken down every sector of the Liberian society. He further asserted that if the CPP legislative Caucus must succeed, it requires the collective efforts of the leadership.

At the same time, the ANC political leader admonished the incoming chairperson of the collaborating political parties to be steadfast. He added that the CPP is the biggest opposition block in the country. He said, if they must succeed in their quest, they must work together cooperatively.

“As the biggest opposition block in the country, we must continue to unite ourselves if we must be successful in our quest to occupy the nation’s highest seat,”  he cautioned.

Meanwhile, in her acceptance remarks the incoming chairperson of the CPP, seenator Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence thanked Cummings and the CPP leadership for entrusting her with the CPP chairmanship.

The Grand Bassa County senator said, her coming to the leadership of the CPP means a lot for women throughout the length and breadth  of the country.

“I want to say thank you to the outgoing chairman for the job well and and for bringing Liberia’s biggest opposition block to where it is. I want to say you have not only given the mantle of authority of the CPP, but you have given it to the entire women of Liberia,” Senator Karngar Lawrence said.
