GBARNGA, Liberia- In three year his seat will be up for contention, so Bong County electoral district #3 Representative, Josiah Marvin Cole says he will continue to create and provide an enabling environment for residents of his district and Bong County at large.

Rep. Cole of the ruling CDC party, vowed that he will not change with giving back to venerable communities that stood up with him during the 2017 election.

Representative Cole was reacting to a widespread rumors in the County that his opponents will feature candidates to contest against him (Cole) in order to boot him out, because he supported defeated outgoing Senator Henry Yallah (CDC) in the December 8 Special Senatorial elections.

“I have continue to receive a lot of calls from my family members and friends that my opponents or some leaders from the other side of the river are planning to put candidates against me in 2023,” said Rep. Cole.

“But one thing I want them to know is that even citizens of electoral district#3 vote against me in 2023, I will remain here and I will remain a strong factor in the County. I will continue to do what I believe in that will change Bong County in turn of developments”.

Moreover, Rep. Cole said he is not worried about 2023 elections, because according to him is grounded and rooted in the Lord through his many developmental initiatives across district #3 and the county as well.

The outspoken Bng County Lawmaker asserted that gone are those days when political hustlers exploited the goodwill of the people who provided them the enabling environment they enjoy nowadays.

He then vowed not to negotiate with political hustlers by surrendering the district electoral slot to those he considers as intruders from the other side of the river or political device.

Citizens of his constituency have been assured that his loan and scholarship programs will continue in January of next year.

Meanwhile, Rep. Cole says he will be prepared for reconciliation, if Senator elect,  Prince K. Moye and his followers are willing or ready to reconcile.

According to Mr. Cole, it is disheartening to hear supporters of incoming Senator Moye preaching reconciliation and the rule of law when they themselves are not living in accordance with what they preached.

The CDC Lawmaker stated clearly that reconciliation means the creation of an enabling environment where the citizens will have access to basic social services which would empower them (people) to live in an environment that provides greater opportunity for the poverty stricken known as the ‘ordinary people.’

Rep. Cole was speaking recently at the Bethel World Church in Gbarnga during a political interaction with his supporters.
