GBARNGA, Liberia- The Christian Revival Church Association (CRCA) Teacher Training program has graduated the first batch of students from it Gbarnga branch, after a 14 months intensive training in the central Bong County.
CRCA is an indigenous Liberia Church planting ministry which is involved with the holistic transformational community efforts that prioritize education.
Since the accreditation of CRCA by the Ministry of Education in 2012, it has been operating in seven of Liberia’s fifteen counties.
The Christian Revival Church Association (CRCA) reportedly held its first convocation with thirty six (36) teachers graduating with “C” certificates from six counties.
The 14 months in-service teachers training program graduated sixteen (16) train teachers with “C” certificate in Education.
The training covered various topics including Teaching methods, Testing and Evaluation, Classroom management and instructional planning.
Giving the overview of the CRCA’s “C” certificate program during the graduation ceremony over the weekend, an official of CRCA, Wanagedee Kpadawewegee stated that the 14 months in-service teachers training program is intended to teach truth and to see lives transformed through Education and the gospel.
Graduates thanked the CRCA teachers college for the opportunities given them to improve the educational sector of Liberia.
Isaiah Suah, one of the graduates said: “I am very excited because I have achieved what I was hoping for the past three years. It was not easy, I almost gave up, but I said to myself, no you cannot give up, be strong.”
“I do not regret the long hours of hard work, it was rewarding. I will practice what I have learned.”
“For me I just want to be grateful to God almighty and the entire CRCA family for providing us the opportunity to further our education. I am therefore encouraging all young people, especially my friend women to take interest in the field of Education because it is rewarding,” Mercy Quoi, another graduates said.
The newly trained Teachers furthered promised to exercise their professional teaching skills while impacting the lives of the younger generation.
“We will use the knowledge acquired to help our brothers and sisters in the area of quality education,” some of the graduates added.
