A prominent Liberian Scientist and Activist, Dr. Dougbeh Chris Nyan has dissociated himself from Dr. Lee Hudges and others from the “New Vision Liberia” about him engaging in “misleading” information regarding the group’s recent trip to the United Arab Emerist (UAE), in a reaction sent to www.newspublictrust.com on Tuesday.
“Dr. Nyan dissociated himself from the Mr. Leeland Hudges and Alice Mulbah, in order to preserve his (Dr. Nyan’s) high integrety and reputation. Furthermore, Mr. Hudges and Alice Mulbah president no evidence as to what was misleading about Dr. Nyan’s presentation. It is not clear why Mr. Hudges would call himself a “Dr.” without verifiabe credentials,” said the statement from Dr. Nyan’s office.
“The name (New Vision Liberia), logo and #RescueLIBERIA were all created by Dr. Nyan and included in his presentation. He has made the logo, name and #RescueLIBERIA available to the public for use in pro-democracy advocacy (and not for solicitation or illegal use),” the statement from the international Award-winning Scientist said.
Little is known of the Activism credentials of Dr. Lee Hudges, whose academic credential has been questioned by the office of the prominent Liberian Scientist, Dr. Nyan.
In a phone chat earlier on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 Dr. Nyan said there are “intellectually deficient” elements who seem to want to “undermine me”
Dr. Nyan rubbished Hudges’ claim that the UAE forum was not a scientific forum and said it entailed cross-cutting issues, which included science, governance, development and activism as contained in his presentation.
“Importantly, please note that the name (New Vision Liberia), logo and #RescueLIBERIA can be used by the general pro-democracy advocacy community, hence there is not evidence that it is confined to anyone institution,” Dr. Nyan’s reaction said.

In reference to your discussion with Dr. Nyan, the attached PowerPoint (pdf) Presentation Slides and below explanation clearly confirmed that Dr. Nyan presented on topics of Science, Governance, Development, the Economy as well as Activism. This is in regard to a rebuttal that came to our attention. You will note that the press dispatch covers all the slides in the presentation. This includes:
