FALSWAR International Charity Donates To Underprivileged Liberians

The most vulnerable people in any outbreak of viruses and diseases and economic hardships–children, people living with disabilities and older folks—have been receiving donations from FALSWAR International Charity.

These groups are often marginalized and stigmatized even under normal circumstances, while some are abandoned and rejected by family members because of their conditions.

It is against this backdrop that charity organizations around the World pay more attention to these vulnerable groups.

One charity organization that has been involved into catering to the needs of vulnerable people is FALSWAR International Charity, Inc., owned and operated by Liberians based in the United States.

Since its establishment, the organization has been putting smiles on the faces of the needy in Montserrado County through the distribution of food and non-food items as well as holding parties for children and older folks.

In continuation of its offer, on December 6, 2021, the organization embarked on the distribution of food and non-food items worth thousands of United States dollars amongst different vulnerable groups and individuals in Montserrado County. The Organization is also donating assorted medical supplies to health facilities in and out of Montserrado.

Some of the vulnerable groups that are benefiting from FALSWAR’s gestures are the visually impaired, older folks, people living with disabilities and children amongst others.

FALSWAR recently distributed food items including bags and cartoons of rice and other cooking utensils among old Folks in Buzzy Quarter Community, Logan Town, 12th Street Community, Saye Town and City Hall Community respectively.

The Organization also distributed food items among visually impaired and people living with disabilities at Coleman Ave. 17th Street as well as assorted food items, wheel chairs, and crushes among members of the Group of 77 on Newport Street.

Thinking about the future generation of Liberia, the charity group distributed educational materials among students of the Grace & Glory Academy Day Care & Elementary School on 2nd Street and moved to the Barnersville Health Center in Kebbah, Barnersville and distributed children clothing among new born and middle age babies.

Moving forward, FALSWAR International Charity, Inc. has donated assorted Medical Materials to the Barnersville Health Center in Montserrado County, the Charles Henry Rennie Hospital (C.H. Rennie Hospital) In Kakata, Margibi County, the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, the St. Joseph’s Catholic Hospital and the Thomas Kardar Medical Clinic In Thinker’s Village.

Christmas party for over 300 kids

The organization also hosted Christmas’ Party for over 300 children in Gbengbar Town, Paynesville, Montserrado County.

The kids were given toys and clothes and at the same time fed with cooked food, pop-corn, and juices.

FALSWAR is expected to host another party in Kebbah, Barnersville on Saturday, December 25, 2021.

The Board Chairperson of FALSWAR International Charity, Inc., Dorothy Logan told newsman that the different activities are part of the Organization’s own way of identifying with the needy.

According to her, the Executive Director of Falswar International Charity, Anthony Fallah Swaray decided to help the less-fortunate and the needy thereby establishing an African Charity to combat hunger and poverty in West Africa with a strategic focus on Liberia.

She disclosed that Falswar International Charity was being established to alleviate the suffering of poverty stricken communities in Africa adding that it comprises of Liberians and a Cameroonian.

Mrs. Logan added that the organization helps feed the hungry and cloths the naked and at the same time provids both medication and quality education to those who cannot afford it.

She narrated that the Organization takes care of the most basic needs of less-fortunate people in order to better their lives, such as business and schooling.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Logan said the ongoing distributions were made possible by Liberians in the United States and other partners through food sales amongst others.

“We have come to put smile on your faces, so we brought some rice and oil beans and other food stuffs for your to be able to celebrate the Christmas, so I want to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you,” said Mrs. Logan.

The CEO, Anthony Fallah Swaray established this organization to be able to help those that are in need not only in Liberia, but in other places and we also have one Cameroonian working with us” Mrs. Logan told beneficiaries of the geatures.

She also warned the leaderships of the different health facilities against selling the medical materials donated by the organization.

Madam Logan added that they have gotten series of complaints from patients and citizens that materials that were donated to some health facilities were being sold or taken away by those in charge.

She informed the Administrators of the health facilities that the Organization might do more based on the reports it will get from them regarding the items.

The Administrator of Thomas Kardar Medical Clinic thanked the FALSWAR’s team for the donations.

They assured the team that the supplies will be used for the intended purpose.

For their parts, beneficiaries of the food and non-food items lauded the leadership of FALSWAR International Charity, Inc. for thinking about them especially during this festive season as donation continues.
