The Judiciary Inquiry Commission has recommended a one year suspension for the President of the Trial Judges Association for ethical misconduct.

Businessman Amos Bruisers had filed a complaint against Judge Mappay-Morgan who is also Judge of the Commercial Court, for allegedly siding with the Monrovia Trading Company’s lawyers to withdraw over 3 million U.S. dollars from his LBDI account.

Bruisers had previously been in business partnership with one of the sons of former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

But there has so far been no reaction from Judge Mappy-Morgan .

The court had reportedly placed a freeze on the account in question.

In a separate development, 42 Law School graduates risk being banned from sitting the Attorney-at-Law Legal Exams for submitting incomplete documents to the National Board of Bar Examiners.

In Liberia, the exams are a requirement for admittance to the Bar Association – the umbrella organization for legal practitioners.
