“Grass Root Pastors” Weigh In On The Need For Pres. Boakai To Appoint New UL President

A Church-related organization, the Grass Root Pastors Association of Liberia, is appealing to President Joseph Boakai to set aside any recommendation of names that will be made by the UL President Search Committee because the process is not fair

The association’s President, Reverend Doctor, George Zorbah, disclosed that based on information his organization has gathered, they are recommending Dr. John Wulu , a Liberian educator based in the United States  as President of UL

Addressing a press conference held in Monrovia during the weekend, Reverend Doctor Zorbah pointed out that the report of the UL President Search Committee is conflicting because it has been infiltrated by some politicians

The Reverend Doctor Zorbah , however, failed to name the politicians who have infiltrated the UL Search Committee for which they are demanding its reports to be set aside.

According to Grass Root Pastor Association, President Boakai should bring neutral person who has the international contact to mobilize the needed resources to run the university, including faculty and students exchange to build human resource capacity of the institution.

The former Religious Advisor to former President Moses Blah pointed out that the university is sitting on a time bomb because politicians are contemplating using the UL as a source for unrest in the country

Reverend Doctor Zorbah indicated that the UL is lack of people who has innovation to generate the necessary funding from outside sources because the institution is not supposed to depending on the government 100 percent for finding

According to Reverend Doctor Zorbah, Doctor Wulu, who is also a graduate of the UL has the necessary qualification and international contact to bring to bear on the institution.
