Husband, Wife And Child Burnt To Death In House Fire: What Led To The Ganta Tragedy?

Returning home from the United States to see his family, little did Sam D. Karmue know that his recent visit would have ended in such a tragedy.

Mr. Karmu, his wife and child reportedly lost their lives after a four-bedroom house gutted fire in the commercial city of Ganta in Liberia’s northeastern Nimba County.

The incident occurred in Bassa Community behind the Ganta police Deport and around the Famous Faith Academy High School Campus.

Ruth Kofa Karmue and her husband, Sam D. Karmue met their untimely death early Friday July 7, 2023 around the hour of 3 am GMT. The couple died as the result of fire that gutted the four-bedroom house leading to the death of four persons including Madam Karmue, Sam Karmue, their little child as well as an elderly woman and a little child.

The blaze engulfed the house leaving the individuals dead.

It is not yet clear what actually caused the fatal fire, but police the local electricity company Jingle Energy Power, and other experts are said to be doing everything to establish the cause of the fire.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mr. Sam D. Karmue have been happily married for two years, since February 22, 2020.

Mr. Sam D. Karmue, who was living in the US, returned home to Liberia on Wednesday July 5, 2023.
