HARPER, Liberia- The Assigned Circuit Judge at the 4th fourth Judicial Circuit in the Southeastern City of Harper has cautioned Police officer in the County to properly conduct investigation at their various stations before charging and sending people to court for trail.
According to Presiding Judge Geeplah- Tiklo Konton, when proper investigation is done, the prosecution stands a better chance with enough evidence to speedily persecute the accused and when form guilty will be sent to the Harper Central prison to serve the term behind bars.
He lamented that police should hear and investigate facts and properly before arrest and onward forwarding to court for prosecution or trial.
“The court has been established by law to settled conflict among human being and bring fourth peace and understanding,” the Circuit Court Judge said.
Judge Konton noted that Speedy and transparent trail is been enshrine in article 21 of the Liberian Constitution, this will be perfectly implemented by us Justice actors, Police officers in Maryland and other parts of the country to properly hear and investigate before arresting and subsequently forwarding to both the Fourth 4th Judicial Circuit and Various Magisterial courts in the County or country for trial or prosecution .
Judge Geeplah Tiklo Konton of the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court in Greenville, Sinoe County has been assigned as circuit judge at the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court in Harper, Maryland and will preside over the February A.D term of court
Judge Konton told www.newspublictrust.com in an interview that the court is opened for the speedy and fair dispensation of justice to the people of Maryland and Liberia.
“If proper investigation and more facts are not gathered before sending suspect to court ,it becomes more difficult for the council for prosecution headed by the county attorney and his assistant,” Judge Konton said.
