A group under the banner ‘’Concerned Voices of the Collaborating Political Parties’’ is demanding the expulsion of the political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander B. Cummings for allegedly altering the CPP’s framework documents.
Recently, the Collaborating Political Parities released a report from its investigation into the alleged alteration of the CPP framework document by the ANC leader, Cummings.
Giving the report at the press conference on Thursday October 7, 2021, CPP Chairperson Senator Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence said, the investigative report analyzed three separate framework documents, including the FA signed on May 19, 2020, amended FA dated April 25, 2020 and the FA filed to the National Elections Commission.
According to the CPP Chairperson, the report revealed that there were significant structural and content differences of the original FA to the copy filed to the National Elections Commission, adding that articles and sub-sections were rearranged.
Though the CPP’s report does not reveal that the documents were altered by ANC’s political leader Alexander Cummings, but in a press conference in Monrovia, the ‘’Concerned Voices of the Collaborating Political Parties called for the expulsion of Mr. Communigs from the CPP.
Speaking at the News Conference on Friday October 8, 2021 in Monrovia, the group’s Chairman Trokon M. Monwell said the alteration has brought the credibility of the CPP to public disrepute and it has the proclivity to dwindle the chances of the CPP to unseat George Weah in 2023, noting that it is extremely embarrassing and discomfiting.
“Considering the damaging effects of Cummings’ actions, our institution, the concerned voices of CPP categorically demands the immediate expulsion of the ANC political leader, Alexander Bennedict Cummings from the CPP for acts inimical to the overall objective of the CPP,” Monwell said.
Mr. Monwell explained that such action will safeguard the integral value of the CPP and further bring to a conclusion the present discord and distrust that presently plaguing the CPP.
According to him, beginning nex week, the concerned voices of the CPP will begin series of political actions to ensure that their demands are adhere to.
The group at the same time commend the political leader of the All Liberian Party Benoni Urey for his farsightedness in raising the alarm over the disdainful, disgusting and unscrupulous action.
” In conclusion, the Concerned Voices of CPP wants to use this medium to appreciate the current chair of the CPP in Senator Nyonblee Kangar-Lawrence of the Liberty Party for her independent stance in commissioning an investigation into the grieved allegation made by Hon. Urey of the All Liberian Party (ALP)” he said.
