Judge Konto To Meet With PUL Interim Committee & Stakeholders This Week

(Monrovia-Liberia, August 25, 2024- The Press Union of Liberia Interim Committee informs the membership and the public that the Resident Judge of the 9th Judicial Circuit Court, His Honor J. Boima Konto will this Thursday, August 28, hold a conference with the Committee and stakeholders.

The proposed conference follows an earlier request by the Committee for the Judge to further clarify his ruling in the 2022 PUL disputed election.

As a result of the Judge’s proposed conference, the planned membership meeting was called off on Friday, 23rd August.

Meanwhile, the PUL Interim Committee reassures the membership that it remains fully engaged with the thorough implementation of the Court’s mandate of cleaning up the membership roster to pave the way for a transparent and credible election.

The Committee implores all members of the Union to fully support and cooperate with the ongoing process to restore the integrity of the PUL.

Following Thursday’s meeting with the Judge, the Committee will provide progress report to the membership at a date and time to be determined.
