Kakata People Still In Shock, After Sudden Deaths Of 2 Kids Crusade Stampede

KAKATA, Liberia- People in Margibi County are still reeling from the shock experienced over the sudden deaths of two children in a stampede at a Christian Crusade at the Nancy B. Doe Stadium in Kakata over the weekend,34 miles east of Monrovia.

Amid the sudden passing of two kids during the “Impact Liberia Crusade”, a man of God in the area has commanded the lead organizer of the event, visiting Ivorian Bishop Mohamed Sanogo.

The four-day Impact Liberia Crusade that started on November 17, 2021 at the biggest stadium here, was part of the Impact Liberia Campaign.

The Liberian Fellowship of Full Gospel Ministers and Churches Margibi Chapter headed by Rev. Gbarngawoe E. Seyboe served as a host.

The crusade ended prematurely on Saturday, November 20, 2021, after an unforeseen circumstances that resulted into the deaths of the kids and the hospitalization of several others.

The kids, Jallah Mollay, age 6 and Ben Kamara, age 1-year-six-months lost their lives while others went unconscious as a result of a stampede during the climax of the crusade, which was the “Children’s Evangelism Day”.

Children in their thousands were taken to the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium by their parents while others went by themselves to “receive gifts” from the organizers of the event but it turned negative.

Since the incident, men of God including the leadership of the Liberian Fellowship of Full Gospel Ministers and Churches and the Impact Liberia Crusade team are yet to publicly show remorse over the tragedy.

While parents were in search of their kids with others mourning for their dead children, the President of the Liberian Fellowship of Full Gospel Ministers and Churches Margibi Chapter, Rev. Gbarngawoe E. Seyboe took to the Social Media (Facebook) commending the Ivorian Bishop.

According to him, the presence of Bishop Mohamed Sanogo is a” blessing to Kakata”.

“To God be the glory. Thank God for Message de Vie. Impact Liberia, Pasteur Mohamed Sanogo, Kakata was blessed by your presence,” those were the exact words of Rev. Seyboe.
