Liberian Gov’t Confirms IAA Boss’ Mysterious Death, But Yet To Give Details

Monrovia, October 10, 2020: The government of Liberia announces with utter shock and sadness the passing of the head of the country’s Internal Audit Agency, Mr. Emmanuel B Nyeswa.
Mr. Nyeswa is reported to have died at his home in the early hours of Saturday, October 10, 2020, says a press release signed by the new Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie.
Earlier reports said he dropped and fell from the first floor of his residence in the 772nd suburb of Monrovia after returning home by 2Am GMT.
Details of the cause of the death of the IAA Boss are scanty, the release says.
However, the Government of Liberia assures the public that once further details are established, it will be made known.
The Government of Liberia meanwhile sends its deepest sympathy to the family of the bereaved, while also urging the general public to refrain from speculations that could be the source of additional trauma for the families.
Mr Emmanuel B. Nyeswa has been a long time professional auditor and previously served as Deputy Director General of the IAA before his appointment in 2018 by President George M. Weah to head the Agency.

On October 2,2020, two senior employees of the LRA, who were also Auditors, were mysteriously discovered  dead. Their lifeless bodies were found in a vehicle belonging to Mr. Albert Peters while Mrs Lama’s gray Jeep was parked in front of Mr. Peters on Snapper Hill, up Broad Street in Monrovia.

But just shortly after the discovery of the lifeless bodies of the LRA employees in Mr. Peters vehicle, another Auditor from the large tax division at the LRA ,Mr. George Fahnboto died in a yet to be fully explained circumstances in a vehicle crash.

He was allegedly cut in his head by some unknown individuals riding a motor bike, but it was widely reported that he died in a tragic motor accident along the 72th boulevard road near Monrovia on October 4,2020.
