TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia-The Liberian National Police (LNP) has used force to quell the latest in a series of protests by aggrieved staffers of the Judiciary branch of government on Capitol Hill, with females feeling the brunt of the crack down.

On Tuesday, October 12, 2020, the ground of the Supreme Court of Liberia was a place of brutality by Police officers against Judicial Staffers, who have for some time now been protesting in demand of their 12 months Liberian dollars portion of their salaries.

One of the female staffers of the police crackdown claimed that one of the police officers violently put his hands in the trousers on grounds that she refused to go outside of the Temple of Justice. Police authorities could not immediately respond to the statement.

The police officer bearing batch number #4715 tore the black Jeans trousers the female protesting Judicial staffer was wearing and even put his hands in her blouse, causing her bra stripe. Under Article 17 of the Liberian constitution, citizens have the right to peace assembly and petition their leaders on their common good.
