LNBA Participating In Rule of Law Conference In Washington D.C.

Monrovia, Liberia- The Leadership of the Liberian National Bar Association through its President Cllr. Sylvester D. Rennie is currently participating in international events on Rule of Law in both Washington D.C. United States of America and Cotonou, Benin Republic, respectively.

The two days event commenced from June 25-26,2024.
In a press release issued on June 26,2024, states that Cllr. Rennie head of the Bar is currently participating in the Justice and Rule of Law Global Forum to foster inclusive and sustainable development at the World Bank’ s headquarters in Washington D.C at the invitation of the World Bank.
According to the release, the even is organized by the World Bank’s Governance Global practice and brings together over 200 partners, leaders and practitioners from governments, Judiciaries, the private sector, academia, Civil Society, foundations and other international development organizations working in the areas of Justice and rule of law.
The release further added that the forum aims to foster dialogue and collaboration within the broad ecosystem of stakeholders to elevate the role of justice and the rule of law as a key driver of development and enhance collective action on justice reform.
Furthermore, the LNBA is also participating in the general conference of the West African Bar Association (WABA) in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
In Cotonou, Benin Republic, the Bar is being represented it’s National Secretary Cllr. Bornor M. Varmah and this even commenced on June 25 and will be ending on June 28,2024.
Meanwhile, the Bar says, the 2024, annual conference of the West African Bar Association is being convened to adopt a new constitution and hold elections for the new corps of officers of WABA .
The two days ongoing even is being sponsored by the World Bank and the United Nations Regional office for West Africa.
