Local Educator In Maryland Urges Gov’t To Improve Liberia’s Education System

PLEEBO, Liberia- The principal of a newly constructed kindergarten and Elementary school   Kids Success Foundation in Zone 7th Pleebo City, Pleebo Sodoken District is calling on the Liberian Government and partners to give more support to ensure a better quality in the Country’s  Education System.

Speaking to the Reporters here, Miss. Elizabeth Buludy  Hne said once a child have a solid kindergarten and Elementary foundation that child will be a  very good student and his knowledge and achievement will inspires others to pursuit Education.

Ms. Hne is a 2018 graduate of the William V S Tubman University Dr. Elizabeth Davies Russell College of Education and holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with emphasis in early childhood Education.

According to the Kids Success Foundation principal, Education is the Key to Success and if our Country Liberia must be developed and Successful in everything we do ,we must improve our Education sector.

She described the education sector of Liberia as emerging and calling on the Liberian Government through the Ministry of Education to also in include private schools teachers when sending public schools teachers to the various Teacher Training Institutes across the Liberia, she noted that they both impacts knowledge into our children and our country succeeding generation.

“I’m convenience that this government will improved our country education sector, President George !Weah in recent time announce tuition free for all Public Colleges and University across the Country and I think that is a huge sign of transformation for our country education system happening for the very first time since country formation”

She lamented that her school is teaching the children phonics amongst others subjects to build and adequately prepared them for junior and senior high levels.

It can be recalled that former Liberian Leader Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf described Liberia Education System as a mess during her Unity party led –Government Administration.

Her statement brought fourth critics her and vote of no confident was voted in the former Education Minister George Warner by the Liberian Senate after he deliberately posted on his official Facebook page that Education in Liberia is tabata a kru word meaning no sense.

Yet the young Liberian Educator is very hopeful and confident that Education is importance for our society growth and development and as such the Liberian Government through the Ministry of Education should create more programs and builds on already existing strategies to improve the sector.

“I’m very passionate that when our Education system improved our Country Liberia will also get on the path of development and growth again“

Miss. Hne infuthrance cautioned teachers who are making use of the Rural Teachers training institutes across the country to take serious lessons they will or have been taught and implement it while teaching in classrooms.

“Take the children you are teaching at your various schools across Liberia as your own, stop collecting bribes from them students it kills the zeal of teaching and makes students unserious about their lessons and studies.

Teach every class like you are teaching your last class to retire”

Miss. Hne added that Liberia is all we have and we all must join hands as Liberians to build upon it.

Together we can build our country Liberia and Maryland County as well but we must invest in our country education sector.

Currently Liberia has four teacher training institutes namely ,Kakata Rural Teacher Training  Institute in Kakata ,Margibi  ,Zorzor Teacher Training Institute in Zorzor,  Lofa ,Webbo Rural  Teacher Training Institute in Webbo, River Gee  and the Lacosste Rural Teacher Training Institute in Pleebo ,Maryland County with these four institutes planted in different parts of the Country teachers from Public Schools are giving the opportunity to attend and refresh  their minds on ethics and some subjects.
