The All Liberian Coalition Party (ALCOP) has vowed to put forward a candidate to contest for the presidency in the presidential and legislative elections scheduled for 2023 in the country.

ALCOP political leader, Losine Kamara, former Liberian Finance Minister, said that the party will forward a name to contest for the presidency whether he is on the party’s ticket or not.

Mr. Kamara was speaking when he officially presented 15 brand new motorcycles to the party’s National Chairman for onward distribution to chairmen of the counties chapters of ALCOP in the 15 sub political divisions over the weekend.

ALCOP is a political party founded by the late Alhaji Kromah who served as its political leader up to his death.

He encouraged ALCOP members to begin reaching out in order to expand the membership of the party in preparation for the campaign for the 2023 presidential and legislative elections.

According to him, the meeting is intended to dispel speculations in some quarters that ALCOP will put forward a candidate for the presidential and legislative elections

Mr. Kamara cautioned his partisans to remain united, committed to the party and stop all the back biting so as to strengthen the party at the grass root level in all communities.

The ALCOP political leader also encouraged partisans to register during the biometric voters’ registration process because failure on their part will render meaningless to the electoral process.

Receiving the motorbikes, ALCOP National Chairman, Ansu Dorley disclosed that the party will be holding its national convention in Gbarnga, Bong County on December 3, 2023.

“We have successfully elected the leaderships for ten out of the 15 political sub divisions in Liberia and will soon conduct the elections for the five others shortly.”

According to Chairman Dorley, ALCOP has been working behind the scene and the purchase of the bike was made possible by the partisans residing in the United States.

“ALCOP will be showing its case in Gbarnga, Bong County where delegates will be giving the mandate to the national executive committee as the presidential and legislative elections draw nearer,” Mr. Dorley said.

The program which was held at the ALCOP headquarters on the Japanese Freeway, brought together members of the national executive committee of the party, sympathizers, well-wishers and supporters.
