A 21-Year-old Murder Suspect Saah Joseph, who allegedly killed a 15-year-old girl, has been forwarded to the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice to face criminal prosecution.
The killing of the 15-year-old girl in the Monrovia suburb of New Georgia sent shock waves across Liberia late last year, triggering a police manhunt for the perpetrator.
Suspect Saah Joseph (not the Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph) reportedly escaped the crime scene for Margibi County, where he was arrested and later investigated before charged with murder.
According to the police charge sheet, this is in violation of Chapter 14, Subchapter (a) of Section 14.1 of New Penal of Liberia.
Police Investigators’ report claimed that suspect Joseph and deceased met on December 13, at an Entertainment Center Called Club-88 on the New Georgia Road. There she agreed to be with the defendant for a night for US$20.
Suspect Saah Joseph has since admitted having sex with the 15-year-old girl at first and attempted going for the second affair which the deceased refused to do.
Her refusal is said to have resulted into a tussle, with suspect Joseph during which she bit him on his right breast and he later grab her neck.
The suspect strangled her until she went unconscious resulting to her death. The defendant then threw her remains over the fence in an attempt to destroy evidence.
Murder is a Capital Offense and is not billable under the Liberian law as such suspect Saah Joseph was remanded at the Monrovia Central Prison pending Court trial as provided law.
